Young voices, in print

Your voice deserves a stage

Muzayrah Publications finds teenage writers, puts their stories in front of real readers, and prints the best of them in our anthology. Write it, send it, see your name in print.

Why write

Writing is thinking you can keep.

writ·ing
/ˈraɪtɪŋ/ · noun
  1. The act of turning what is inside your head into marks other people can read, days or centuries later.
  2. The only school subject where you invent the rules of the world, then make a stranger believe them.
  3. informal: the closest thing humans have to time travel.
It sharpens your mind

You find out what you think

A thought feels finished until you try to write it down. Writing forces you to choose, order and explain, which is exactly how ideas get clearer and arguments get stronger.

It's yours, not a bot's

Your voice is your edge

Anyone can generate a paragraph now. Nobody else can write from your memories, your humour and your way of noticing things. A voice is the one thing a machine cannot hand you.

It builds empathy

You live other lives

To write a believable character you have to stand in their shoes. Stories train you to read people, motives and moods, in fiction and in real life.

It opens doors

It shows up on paper

Exam essays, university applications, scholarships, cover letters and captions all reward the person who can write clearly. Strong writers get noticed first.
